Their Eyes Were Watching Eatonville

D.C.'s newest hot restaurant has opened and it surely opened with a bang! Eatonville, which is owned by the owner of Bus Boys and Poets (conveniently located next door) pays tribute to Zora Neale Hurston's southern roots. When asked why the restaurant was dubbed the name Eatonville, the hostess explained that it was a way to bring Langston Hughes and Zora Neale Hurston back together. The southern cuisine restaurant offers Pecan Crusted Trout, Cat Fish Po Boy, and Pan Fried Pork Chop. The atmosphere is filled with beautiful art and history. It is the perfect date spot.

The restaurant has been getting amazing reviews not only about it's menu but as well as it's awesome customer service. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgable about the menu and the history behind the restaurant.

Eatonville has been DCfab certified, Washington Post certified, and now it is BTS certified.
